Piazza di Siena - Rome International Jumping Show
Rome International Horse show is held each year in the legendary "Piazza di Siena". The event takes place every year with the Grand Prix Rome recognized as the most fascinating in the World. The 2003 Rome Horse Show was among the eight engagements of the Samsung Super League to which eight of the best teams were invited. The grassy oval of the "Borghese" Villa is the holy place of Italian horse-riding.
It was designed by Prince Marc Antoine Borghese at the beginning of the 1900 to recreate the magic atmosphere of the ancient Horse race (Palio) in Sienna.
The program plans 4 days of competitions: from Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 May. In total, there will be 11 contests plus the President Cup. Sunday evening, at the end of the competitions, a ring of trumpet will announce the arrival in the field of the Carabinieri Cavalry. It is a very well-balanced set of skills and courage that commit around 145 horses. It is a wonderful show that culminates in a thrilling final.

How to get there:
Metro A, get off at Spagna, follow directions to tram 3 and 19 to Villa Borghese and get off at the Gallery of Modern Arts then walk to Piazza di Siena.
